Just in case the standard 650-hp Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 isn’t enough for you, there is a solution in the form of the 2019 Yenko/SC Camaro. Nothing against the ZL1 @ all!
Based on the 2019 Camaro SS 1LE, the Yenko is available in two states of tune
835 or 1000 horsepower.
While the standard SS uses a naturally aspirated 6.2-liter V-8 with 455 horsepower, SEV swaps in the supercharged 6.2-liter LT1 V-8 from the ZL1 and then bores it out to 6.8 liters!
The 835-hp Stage I model gets a forged-steel crankshaft, forged-aluminum pistons, an upgraded fuel system and injectors, and CNC-ported cylinder heads.
The 1000-hp Stage II version adds a larger supercharger with more boost, a bigger throttle body, stainless-steel headers, a dual-mode stainless-steel exhaust, and different tuning.
Come standard 6 speed with automatic option
Exterior enhancements for both Yenkos include a carbon-fiber hood with a huge hood scoop-it’s fake, though.
Stripes on the hood and down the side of the body are available in nine colors, the brake calipers are painted red, and multiple Yenko crest badges are added to different parts of the car;
Stage II models also get a custom rear spoiler. Retro-look five-spoke wheels are shod in Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires, sized 295/30ZR-20 in front and 305/30ZR-20 in the rear.
On the inside, the Yenkos get special badging, door sill plates, and embroidered crests on the floor mats and headrests.
Only 25 of each Yenko will be sold, with the 835-hp Stage I starting at $46,995 and the 1000-hp Stage II at $66,995.
Those prices don’t include the cost of the SS 1LE on which they are based-which starts at $44,995-meaning you’ll be looking at more than $90,000 for a Stage I and well over $100,000 for the Stage II.
Every Yenko receives a three-year/36,000-mile warranty for both the engine and supercharger and the non-powertrain components, and the optional automatic transmission gets its own 12-month, 12,000-mile warranty.
